Maharishi's three-colour 'Fu Splinter' camouflage is based on a four-colour 1950s Polish pattern composed of lage geometric splinter shapes overlaid with rain straits. While the rain straits remain a part of the Maharishi pattern, the splinters have been replaced with Futura's pointman motif.

Inspired by old school Japanese art, the 'Bonsai' camouflage incorporates bonsai trees on floating clouds. The pattern contains subtle elements of the British 'DPM' pattern, first officially issued in 1970. Since its initial introduction in 1998, the 'Bonsai' camouflage has evolved into a number of variants. This is a second generation 'Bonsai' pattern.

'Desert Hex' is an interpretation of the US 'Night Time Desert Grid' pattern, used during 'Operation Desert Storm'. Quite unique as a camouflage, 'Night Time Desert Grid' was developed to provide protection in the near-infrared part of the electromagnetic spectrum and confuse night vision devices. Unlike the square grid of the US pattern, Maharishi's 'Desert Hex' grid is composed of hexagons, close geometric relatives of the Star of David and found throughout nature.
